Link (00823:HK), the largest Asia REIT company based in Hong Kong, just announced the acqusition of The Cabot in Canary Wharf for USD487.5Million. You may find their investment rationale in their presentation deck:
The Cabot is where Morgan Stanley's Headquarters is located in the UK. The acquistion is part of Link's Vision 2025 growth strategy, and is the investment trust's second overseas acquisition after it bought 100 Market Street in Sydney in 2019. Link remains on the lookout for foreign properties. Hong Kong companies would be the key force to watch in 2020/21 for properties acqusitions in all major properties markets.
